Honorary President
Scott Brechin was the founder, President, and driving force behind Phoenix. With decades of hands-on experience in the modular industry, Scott possessed a depth of knowledge that few could match. He understood the business from the ground up and built Phoenix with vision, grit, and an unwavering belief in what was possible.
Scott was bold, authentic, and unmistakably himself. He brought intensity and conviction to everything he did and was known for speaking his mind, sometimes more candidly than expected. Beneath that strong exterior was a deep commitment to excellence. He cared deeply about the work, about doing it right, and about the people alongside him in the field.
He believed Phoenix could be the best in the business. He pushed hard. He challenged hard. And he left an undeniable imprint on the team, sharing his experience, instincts, and hard-earned lessons with those around him.
Scott passed away in the fall of 2025, but his influence remains woven into the foundation of Phoenix. Today, we carry forward the company he built with the same determination and belief in excellence. We honor his dreams by continuing to grow, evolve, and support one another as a team.
And while he may no longer be leading from the front, we know he is still watching, still cheering, and still expecting us to build something remarkable.
Vice President/CFO
Chad serves as Vice President at Phoenix, having previously held the role of Chief Financial Officer. He brings an extensive financial background paired with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. A trailblazer by nature and a true jack of many trades, Chad blends strategic leadership with hands-on, real-world experience, including a background as an electrician. This gives him a unique ability to connect high-level strategy with practical execution.
Known for his out-of-the-box thinking and solutions-oriented approach, Chad consistently looks for smarter, more effective ways to move the business forward. He believes transparency and clear communication are essential to building strong relationships and standing out in the industry. His professionalism exceeds industry standards and helps elevate the organization.
Outside of work, Chad enjoys travel, lake life in the Shuswap, and spending time with family. He is widely known as a dog whisperer and values time with his adult son out east. Chad also enjoys hockey, laughter, and games.

Project Manager
Chris Wilkes is a hands-on Project Manager who brings a calm, practical approach to complex projects. He focuses on keeping people aligned and work moving forward by managing crews, materials, equipment, and logistics from start to finish.
He led the Squamish LNG project over a five-month build, overseeing a 15-person team and coordinating all site logistics for a highly remote location. Chris is known for staying steady under pressure and finding practical solutions when challenges arise.
With more than 30 years as a business owner, Chris brings an owner’s mindset to every project. Clients can count on him to be responsive, easy to work with, and fully committed to delivering strong results that support both project goals and Phoenix Modular’s success.
Based in Calgary.
Director of Sales and Business Development
Peter Joy leads Sales and Business Development with a practical, hands-on approach grounded in real field experience. He focuses on building strong client relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring sales commitments align with operational realities so projects deliver on both promise and performance.
Peter has extensive experience in modular construction sales, field operations, and installation services, along with a background in sales and operations within the public transportation sector. He is known for responding quickly to client needs and mobilizing teams efficiently to meet tight timelines without compromising quality or safety.
His leadership style is collaborative and solutions-oriented, with a strong emphasis on clear communication, accountability, and teamwork. Peter brings practical insight to every conversation, helping clients navigate challenges and move projects forward with confidence.
Based in Western Canada, Peter values problem-solving, continuous improvement, and time spent supporting family and friends. He also enjoys travelling and exploring the Canadian wilderness.
Clients can count on Peter for reliable follow-through, straightforward communication, and a grounded, experience-driven approach that delivers results while strengthening long-term partnerships.
Foreman
Dave has been with Phoenix for over seven years and brings more than 20 years of experience as a Red Seal Journeyman to his role as Foreman. He is responsible for leading installations with a focus on quality workmanship, safety, and overall customer satisfaction.
With previous experience as an electrical foreman on industrial sites and in quality control, Dave understands the importance of doing the job right the first time. He takes particular pride in conducting final walkthroughs with clients and ensuring they are fully satisfied before a project is complete.
Dave enjoys working across different regions of the country and values the opportunity to continually learn and refine his skills. He focuses on building positive, professional relationships so clients feel confident from the moment the team arrives on site.
Known for his reliability and strong work ethic, Dave can be counted on to ensure every installation is completed properly and safely. Raised on a small cattle farm in northern Alberta, he credits that upbringing for shaping the discipline and dedication he brings to his work each day.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys relaxing in the backyard or heading out camping with his beautiful wife.
