Employment Requirements
Applicant must be a Canadian Citizen or have Landed Immigrant status.
Applicant must be 17 years of age or older.
Applicant must be Physically Fit to do construction work and complete your daily duties:
Capable of working in remote locations – 10 – 12-hour days, shift work – 3 weeks on/1 week off. You will be housed in dry camps.
Must be capable of completing an industry related physical fitness test.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs throughout your day.
Capable of repetitive motions, bending, and/or kneeling for long periods of time throughout your day.
Capable of working outside, all day, in extreme weather conditions – from winter temperatures of -40c to summer temperatures of 20c+.
Must be able to pass a standard Drug and Alcohol Test.
As an employee you are required to supply your own basic tools and gear. (see tools and gear lists)
Candidates require the following certifications:
CSTS – Construction Safety Training System
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Clean driver’s abstract

Impact Driver hex-head bits – For tin fasteners + lag bolts. Most commonly use the 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″ + 9/16″.
Cordless Tool set – Optional
Head lamp
Additional specialty tool for electricians, plumber and gasfitter as necessary.

Mandatory PPE – Hard hat
Mandatory PPE – Hi-vis outer layer – Jacket, vest or long sleeve shirt
Mandatory PPE – CSA Work boots (at least 6″ – no low tops/shoes)
Mandatory PPE – Safety glasses
Mandatory PPE – Work gloves minimum cut 5 level
Mandatory PPE – CSA Rubber boots – Recommended if muddy or wet conditions.
Knee pads

Rain coat and pants – Hi-vis, or wear a hi-vis vest overtop.
Winter – CSA Winter Work boots – Recommended steel Toe, rated for -100C.
Winter – Foot / Hand Warmers – Recommended when it’s really cold.
Winter – Winter work clothes (seasonal) Layers, breathable, polyester or wool not cotton.
Winter – Balaclava – Recommended Keep your nose and ears from getting frostbite.
